THE STORY

A narrow road leads away from deadlines, a blazing phone and the pressure in the narrator's voice. At the other end are a cabin, two friends and time to cook without rushing. The details matter: garlic on the fire, sparks in the dark, conversations that finally make the weight feel shareable. The forest offers quiet, but friendship makes that quiet safe. This is somewhere to speak honestly and remember a version of yourself that work and noise can crowd out. Calling the cabin medicine gives the ordinary things their proper weight. A meal, a fire and two trusted people can be what keeps someone steady.

Cabin inna di wilderness, mind get still again
Leaves dem a whisper, breeze wash di stress from brain
City keep pullin', world goin' mad again
But mi run to di cabin wid di two man dem -
Yeah, dat's how we keep sane
Yeah, dat's how we keep sane

Everyday life full a deadlines, Babylon noise
Phone a blaze nonstop, pressure inna mi voice
Till mi text di breddas: "Time fi di forest rest."
Road get narrow, silence rise, mind get blessed
Pot pon fire, garlic start sing
Good green roll tight, we nuh rush one thing
Forest remind why we survive every storm

Up inna di wilderness, mind get still again
Up inna di wilderness, mind get still again

After dinner we build fire, sparks light di night
Talk 'bout di struggles till tings feel right
Sometimes we dive deeper, cosmic journeys unfold
Soul clean like river used to freeze di toes cold
Brotherhood a anchor dat keep we from break
Cabin inna di woods... two real friends beside mi
That's di medicine... that's di sanity

Dat´s Our Rite

THE STORY

The cabin visit has become a ritual with its own familiar sequence: food on the smoke, childhood jokes, sauna heat and the shock of cold water. Each return makes room for a kind of honesty that the city leaves little space for. These friends can talk about pain without polishing it into a performance. They have known one another long enough to recognise the person underneath the pressure. The title gives this routine the dignity of a rite. What restores their balance is something they keep choosing and making time for together, until an ordinary weekend becomes an essential part of staying themselves.

Up inna di wilderness, mind get clean
Good green burn and di soul get serene
City too loud, too rough, too mean
So we go to di cabin, keep life keen

Up inna di wilderness, heart get light
Fire start crackle inna cold dark night
Day-one breddas make di whole thing right
Dat's how we balance, dat's our rite

Every couple months, we disappear slow
Drop off di grid where di tall pines grow
Brisket pon smoke, let di whole night flow
Garlic in di pan start sing real low

Old jokes rise from di childhood lane
Laugh till di ribs almost tear from strain
No mask here, just man remain
Pressure get lift off di chest and brain

Sauna heat rise, then lake so cold
Shock fi di system, young heart turn bold
World get heavy but here we mold
A peace weh worth more than silver or gold

City life drain man, deadline venom
Phones ring loud like a courtroom summon
Mind full of numbers, spirit get numbin'
Lose yuh own voice when di pressure drummin'

So we tek to di hills, reset di engine
Meditate deep, inner cosmos ascension
Three man strong, day-one linkage
Talk bout pain wid no censorship

Brisket smoke rise through cedar wind
Fire glow warm when di vibe begin
Man drop shame, man drop sin
Circle round truth inna natural skin

Up inna di wilderness, mind get clean
Good green burn and di soul get serene
City too loud, too rough, too mean
So we go to di cabin, keep life keen

Up inna di wilderness, heart get light
Fire start crackle inna cold dark night
Day-one breddas make di whole thing right
Dat's how we balance, dat's our rite

Up inna di wilderness, mind get clean
Good green burn and di soul get serene
City too loud, too rough, too mean
So we go to di cabin, keep life keen

Sauna steam rise like a healing mist
Lake water bite like a cold-hard twist
Mind run deep through di shadows we list
Babylon noise get easy to resist

Music from di cabin, low bass hum
Remember di days weh we used to run
Laugh bout di trouble we overcome
Each man steady fi di other one

Inner cosmos trip inna silent zone
Thoughts move deep where di real truth grown
When we come back, we no walk alone
Cabin in di wild keep spirit known

Up inna di wilderness, mind get clean
Good green burn and di soul get serene
City too loud, too rough, too mean
So we go to di cabin, keep life keen

Up inna di wilderness, heart get light
Fire start crackle inna cold dark night
Day-one breddas make di whole thing right
Dat's how we balance, dat's our rite

THE STORY

This version takes time over the journey back. The same cabin key and jokes from teenage days connect the men they are now with the boys they once were. Around the fire, the conversation reaches things that usually stay hidden: childhood scars, shame and dreams that have survived into adulthood. The forest becomes a place where there is no deadline for explaining yourself and no need to defend every feeling. That is what gives the return its force. The narrator comes to the woods to recover room inside his own life, supported by people who remember him across the years.

Every couple months, man vanish from di grid
Two childhood breddas, same road we did tread
When life get heavy, city pressure too wild
We retreat to di cabin where di forest get mild

Up inna di wilderness, mind get still again
Leaves dem a whisper, breeze wash di stress from brain
City keep pullin', world goin' mad again
But mi run to di cabin wid di two man dem ,
Yeah, dat's how we keep sane
Yeah, dat's how we keep sane

Everyday life full a deadlines, Babylon noise
Phone a blaze nonstop, tek di peace from we joys
Mi text di breddas: "Time fi di forest rest,"
Road get narrow, silence rise, heart feel blessed

Step out di car, see di treetops sway
Like elders greeting youth when we come fi stay
Unlock di cabin, same key from teenage days
Still laugh at di jokes that never did fade

Pot pon fire, vegetables glow
We cook slow, let di whole system go
Good green roll, meditation get warm
And dat's how man survive every storm

Up inna di wilderness, mind get still again
City keep pullin', world goin' mad again
But mi run to di cabin wid di two man dem ,
Yeah, dat's how we keep sane
Yeah, dat's how we keep sane

After dinner we spark di flame
Reason bout di life and di weight and di shame
Talk bout childhood scars we hide
Talk bout di dreams dat never did die

Sometimes we dive deep outta space
Inner cosmos journey fi reset di pace
World moving fast like madness race
But up here we find our natural place

Forest cradle di mind, tek di madness out
No judgment, no timeline, no fear, no doubt
Dawn come gentle, truth flow in waves
Brotherhood a di anchor dat keep we brave

Up inna di wilderness, mind get still again
Leaves dem a whisper, breeze wash di stress from brain
City keep pullin', world goin' mad again
But mi run to di cabin wid di two man dem ,
That's how we keep sane
That's how we keep sane

Every couple months, mi disappear from di strain
Cabin inna di woods bring back di man again
That's di medicine
That's di sanity
That's di life
