Give This Man a Spliff (Introspective)
THE STORY
There is too much noise in this man's head, and he is beginning to pass it on. The song moves from sleepless rooms and sharp words to borders, orders and powerful men, then turns the mirror back on its narrator. He recognises the same hunger for control in himself: the need to set the pace, have the last word and make every storm disappear. Meanwhile, children are laughing outside and someone he loves is sleeping nearby. The spliff is both a literal image and a plea for a pause. Sit down. Breathe. Notice what is already here. Not every fire inside you needs to become somebody else's fire.
